at my very first job as HGV driver I had to deliver building material to Hammersmith and Kensington on 12m 18t truck. No training no assessment. Just paperwork keys and the truck. Was scared af but did not hit anything and completed all deliveries. Sometimes tha'ts the best way to learn

Great bit of driving theres no denying that but id have refused, theyre all nice people til it goes tits up, then they turn on you and try to make as much money out of it as they can. Its much simpler to tell them politely to "do one". A simple tape measure would prove your point.
